As a dedicated worker, striving to provide more for my family, I find myself faced with unnecessary tax on my overtime work hours. Often, I  engage more with my job at the expense of my precious family time, especially on weekends. These moments are significantly crucial to the upbringing of my children. However, overtime on standard contracted hours continues to be taxed, further burdening struggling families.This also effects first time buyers who prop up the economy. This petion is not just for people with familes, this effects every single person working in the uk. If overtime tax was reduced  for their taxable income it would help every single person who is striving to make their life better. This would create more first time buyers also enable people to carry out more projects regarding their homes, and put more investment in to the system.

Individuals are not only sacrificing precious family time and social bonding but also being taxed for their extra effort.

We are not advocating for a complete overhaul of the taxation system, but a more empathetic approach towards understanding the implications of taxing overtime.
