Eliminate Pay-to-Play Elements (pizza) in Devil May Cry: Peak of Combat Mobile Game
The Issue
As a long-time fan and player of the Devil May Cry series, I, along with many others in our community, have eagerly anticipated the release of Devil May Cry: Peak of Combat. After enduring numerous delays and building up high expectations set by the company itself, we were met with disappointment on day one. The game's quality was not what we expected; however, what truly disheartened us was not the gatcha elements but rather the pay-to-play requirement to progress through the story.
The current system forces players to either wait 20 hours or spend hard-earned (or purchased) currency to continue playing. This is a stark departure from previous iterations where players could enjoy an uninterrupted gaming experience. It's clear that this new model prioritizes profit over player satisfaction.
According to a report by SuperData Research, free-to-play games generated 80% of digital games revenue in 2018 (source: SuperData Research). However, it is essential to strike a balance between monetization and user experience. We believe that forcing players to pay or wait extended periods for story progression disrupts this balance.
We urge you to eliminate these pay-to-play elements from Devil May Cry: Peak of Combat and return it back to its roots - where gameplay triumphs over profit-making strategies. Please sign this petition if you agree that our beloved game should prioritize player enjoyment above all else.
