Eliminate Critical Race Theory from K-12 Education Permanently

Eliminate Critical Race Theory from K-12 Education Permanently
The Issue
I am a student, deeply troubled by the implementation of Critical Race Theory (CRT) in our educational system. From my perspective, CRT is not fostering unity or understanding but is instead exacerbating divisions. The teachings of being race blind and promoting equality among all races are what we should be focusing on, not a theory that seems to instill racial prejudice.
Critical Race Theory, which originated from legal studies and has been adopted into K-12 education in some areas, essentially argues that racism is an everyday experience for most people of color and this racism often goes unacknowledged due to the systemic nature of white supremacy. However, critics argue that it can lead to harmful divisions between students based on their race.
As per a 2020 report by the Heritage Foundation, there are concerns about how CRT is taught in schools and its potential impact on children's perspectives towards different races. They suggest that teaching CRT could potentially lead to increased racial tension rather than reducing it (Heritage Foundation Report 2020).
This petition calls for the permanent removal of Critical Race Theory from K-12 education curriculum across our nation's schools. We should strive for an educational system that promotes unity and understanding among all races rather than one which may inadvertently foster division or prejudice.
We need your support to make this change happen. Please sign this petition if you believe in promoting unity and equality within our classrooms rather than division based on race.
