Together we 10,000 are strong!

Yes, there are 10,000 of us! This is an incredible number for petition signatories when the petition only affects a smallish part of the country, and an activity (train travel) that is not completely mainstream. Very soon, the Government will issue the ‘invitation to tender’ for the new train service. This will give us another opportunity to put pressure on potential bidders for the best possible train service. If you are on twitter, please use the hashtag #SaveOurTrains. New leaflets are being designed, responding to the mess that is the attempted introduction of a new timetable by Thameslink. This has resulted in Thameslink telling passengers that they won’t be able to tell them today what service pattern they are trying to run tomorrow and “advise checking on journey planners first thing”.
