I want to thank everyone that participated in the Stafford County Transportation survey. Hundreds of comments were posted at locations on the Stafford Map. There were dozens of comments supporting the river crossing that included hundreds of likes. More comments supported a River Crossing at Celebrate Virginia than any other Stafford project.
 
The Fredericksburg Metropolitan Plan Organization (FAMPO) is finishing up an East West Mobility Study. The study evaluated many different options for improving mobility including a river crossing at Celebrate Virginia and some Parts of the Inner Connector, but they didn't study the Inner Connector in it's entirety. The Study showed that the Celebrate Virginia River Crossing would reduce congestion in the region greater than 10%. I believe if the entire Inner Connector proposal was studied it would have compounded and maximized the benefits of the parts that were studied for even more congestion reduction.
