The Secret Road Plan EXPOSED!!!
 
Stafford Officials have been hiding this Road Plan from the Public Long enough. It's time for them to come clean and tell the public what the true purpose of the road is. I can see gridlock on steroids with this Plan, because it dumps the traffic off on Route 17 at the two closes traffic lights to the Interchange. Traffic would constantly be in gridlock on Route 17 at those two lights.Traffic would back up on Gateway Drive all the way back to where the secret Road goes through the Auto Auction parking lot. At the Plantation and Gateway Intersection Traffic would be accident prone and in gridlock. Most People that live West of the Secret Road would drive West on Truslow to avoid the traffic lights on Route 17 to get to Plantation, and Stafford Lakes. Show us the studies and the mitigation measures that justify this Road being a feasible alternative to other Plans including the Inner Connector.

Why has the Road Plan been kept secret from the Public?

Was the Inner Connector Road killed by Stafford Supervisors, because of this Secret Road Plan? 

Why have the Studies been hidden from the Public?

Who paid the $500,000 for Planning and Engineering?

Why did Supervisors change the proffer amendment laws to eliminate the Public Hearing process?

Were the Proffers for the 600 townhouse Centreport project amended in the back room to accommodate this Road?

Why was the secret Road approved to be in FAMPO documents, but not included in the Stafford Comprehensive Plan?


Is this the Real Mine Road Extension Plan, which would make the Enon, to Truslow, to Plantation Road Plan in the Comprehensive Plan Bogus?

Why was the Stafford Planning Commission and some Staff Members not told about the Secret Road Plan?

How would the traffic count data of the Secret Road compare with The Inner Connector Road traffic count Data?

 
What justifies the Outer Connector Corridor Alignment between Route 17 and the Rappahannock River?
 
These are all questions that should have been answered before the Comprehensive Plan Public Hearing. The Plan is clearly outdated, has major defects and other issues.

Roads shouldn't be built using taxpayer money to accommodate residential developers that have little or No Road frontage. They should be built to accommodate the most efficient Transportation grid and relieve traffic as much as possible.
 
The Stafford Comprehensive Plan that is currently on the agenda to be voted on by Supervisors on November 16th. The Board of Supervisors should refer the Stafford Comprehensive Plan Back to the Planning Commission to add Sunshine on the Transportation Plan for Real Public discussion and Involvement. The Board should give the Stafford Planning Commission Adequate time to do their job!!!
