I have been focusing on designating the Cannon Ridge Golf Course as a future Park, because I believe it's an important component to provide for our future Recreational and Transportation needs. The Park will reserve the land and open up dialog with the City of Fredericksburg on accessing the Park while it helps preserve Nature and opens up public access to Historic Sites, the River and a Beautiful Natural Waterfall. Acquiring the Park will also reduce the cost for the Bridge.
 
But there's more GOOD NEWS! I've been lobbying the Stafford Planning Commission for months on the Inner Connector, Trails and Parks. The Planning Commission decided to included both the Inner Connector and Outer Connector in the Comprehensive Plan, but the path of the river crossing of the Outer Connector, South of Route 17 is obsolete, because two subdivisions with expensive houses are in the way and Spotsylvania has already rejected that river crossing.

Including the Inner Connector in the Comprehensive Plan is a major milestone that can open the door for funding the Stafford Sections. That river crossing impacts Zero Houses and Businesses as long as we can stop residential development on the Golf Course.
 
There is still a possibility that Stafford Official could take both the Park and Inner Connector out of the Comp Plan, so please email Stafford Official or attend the Joint Public Hearing tonight of the Planning Commission and Board of Supervisors to update the Stafford Comprehensive Plan on October 19th at 7:00 PM in the Board of Supervisors Chambers. 

 
Please send emails to Stafford Officials and tell them that you Support designating the Abandoned Cannon Ridge Golf Course as a Future Park in the Comprehensive Plan and that you support the Inner Connector and Trail Network.
