San Jose Backs off support of AB857 - Sign our Actionnetwork letter!

Last Tuesday, the 26th the city of San Jose discussed supporting AB857 after their vote to study a public bank on Tuesday the 19th. 

Unfortunately, they walked back their apparent support and decided to "Watch", not "Support" AB857. 

We know this isn't going to be easy and we need to keep the pressure on. While the change was disappointing, intergovernmental relations will come back to Council with a presentation on AB857 and what it means for San Jose and for California. This will be our second chance to show up and speak out, so keep an eye open. 

In the meantime, the California Public Banking Alliance is asking us to sign the Action Network Letter. Please sign and share on your social media and tag SBPA and CPBA!
