Yesterday proved that when the American People unite, we can create meaningful change.  Last night's win was due to the effort of many.  It is the win of the people, of the grassroot efforts across this nation.  It  is the win of the advocates of justice, and a win for those that have suffered so much, including the loss of loved ones,. As a Latina who has witnessed the cruelty, brutality and challenges faced by our community under the Trump administration, I am deeply concerned about who will lead the House of Representatives. To assume that Hakeem Jeffries, current minority leader is the best for the job, is a mistake that we cannot afford to make during these crucial times in America.   

We need a leader that is a visionary, that has grit, who is inclusive and embodies the values of progress, equality, and respect for ALL AMERICANS.  Pete Buttigieg has a proven track record as a forward-thinking, charismatic leader that connects and relates to Americans from all walks of life.
