He crossed generations. You can hear his music playing in The Villages, FL or in a frat house in Des Moines. 

He created a genre that many have followed into. And he embraced them with open arms. Often collaborated with other artists and wrote and performed songs with them to help them along the way. 

After his passing the outpouring of love from around the world was akin to the loss of Elvis. 

This is the level of talent we lost. AND HE'S NOT IN THE HALL OF FAME?
