لقد قام عبد الفتاح السيسي بالموافقة على اتفاقية مبادئ #سد_النهضة التي بموجبها يتم بناء السد دون الرجوع للشعب أو  لممثليه من البرلمان و دون الاتفاق على ما لا يضر حصة المياه في بلدنا. حصة مصر من المياه حق أصيل و تاريخي و لذا التعدي عليها يعتبر تعدي على أمنها المائي حيث سيقتطع سد النهضة ١٢ مليار متر مكعب من حصتها السنوية مما يحولها لدولة فقيرة مائيا كما ستفقد مصر ٢٠٠ الف فدان زراعي و سيقل انتاج الطاقة الكهربائية من  ./.٢٠ إلى ٤٥./. و يقلل حصة المواطن المصري لثلث المعدل العالمي للفرد

هذا يعارض ايضا حقوق مترسخه واكدتها اتفاقيات دوليه وقع عليها جميع دول حوض النيل سواء المصب أو المنبع. يجب علينا كشعب مصر إيقاف هذه المهزلة التي لم نشارك فيها للحفاظ على حياتنا و مستقبل الأجيال القادمة. أستأذنكم وقعوا على العريضة حتى نظهر رفضنا كشعب لهذه الاتفاقية الباطلة

Sisi has approved the treaty of building the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam without the consent of the Egyptian people or its parliament. As a result, Egypt’s annual water share will be reduced by 12 billion cubic metres, putting it amongst the water poor countries. Millions of Egypt’s population will therefore be affected as they rely on the Nile for drinking and farming- since it is Egypt’s main source of fresh water.
 
An estimated 200,000 acres of land will be lost, and the average Egyptian citizen’s share of water consumption will be reduced to a third of the world’s average consumption. Egypt’s power production will also be negatively affected by at least 25 to 45% during the dam’s construction. Additionally, the evaporation rates of the Aswan High Dam would similarly be affected by more than 10 million cubic meters per year due to the reduction levels of water in Lake Nasser. 
 
The majority of Egyptians condemn this decision completely and urge the international community to spread awareness in order to stop this ruthless decision, which will affect millions of people.
