Quintessential needs to refund over 20,000 defrauded Nigerians of their money.

The Issue

Quintessential is an investment company in Lagos Nigeria. I discovered them sometime last year. They were accepting funds from investors promising rates of 15-25 percent per month. The company always said that they were not a Ponzi scheme and were involved in legitimate business investments such as buying real estate, crypto and foreign exchange. The MD had a larger than life personality for investors and he claimed that he was building a culture were people can share wealth.

Quintessential stopped paying investors since as far as December. In that time they have turned off their social media comments. They have released several memos, videos and promises to pay investors over the past 3 months that have been broken. Most recently, the company has opened their business for more investment. They are attracting more investors while they have a backlog of debts for over 20,000 people.

Nigeria has an unstable economic climate and not a lot of investment opportunities. Most of the   10 or so people I know who lost their money are involved in good honest work. The thought of an investment company being able to put up signboards, build offices and take investors money then choose to fold up without any justice or transparency is injustice at the highest levels.

We are writing this petition to show our numbers, share our pain and let Quintessential Investment Company and Joshua Kayode know that we would not be defrauded in this manner and be silent.

Join the cause if you feel the same way because there are potential victims around the corner.
