Is Your Data Smarter Than A 3rd Grader?

48% of Alief ISD students CANNOT read at a third grade level. Make sure that you hear me clearly, NOT 48% of elementary school students, 48% of ALL STUDENTS in Alief from elementary school through high school. There are 46,000 students enrolled in Alief ISD schools so 22,080 CANNOT read at a third grade level yet some how the district has a 98% graduation rate. How is that possible? In accounting terminology that is called cooking the books. 

Alief School Board elections are coming up in November of 2019. Make sure that you vote!
