Pretend We Don’t Know The Truth

At tonight’s Alief ISD’s School Board Meeting Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources Elizabeth Andrea Veloz-Powell and her infinite LACK OF WISDOM gave a presentation about the turnover rate of educators in Alief. Mrs. Powell strategically glossed over the fact that Alief’s district administration and their lack of support, etc., highly contribute to educators leaving Alief ISD within educators first 5 years with the district; in other words Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources Elizabeth Andrea Veloz-Powell is at the root of the high turnover rate of educators. The punch line of the orchestrated shim sham was that the two FORMER ALIEF EDUCATORS who currently sit on the school board had absolutely nothing to say about the orchestrated lies presented in Mrs. Powell’s presentation. One of those two board members openly touted that she only ran to become a school board member because she didn’t like how the district treated her [forcing her out of the district] so she ran in 2018 to [get back at Alief administrators]. Sure would have been nice to hear that story told again on the microphone instead of everyone sitting on the board pretending not to know what the real issues are. Alief school board elections are coming up in November of 2019. Make sure that you vote!
