Alief Superintendent throws them under the bus

Finally someone is trying to do right by the students, parents, and tax payer of Alief ISD. When the only person on the school board who is actually an accountant, votes NO to the district’s proposed 2018-2019 staffing plan budget that says a lot; especially when all of the non-accountants blindly vote yes for everything. The district cannot afford to continue operating in the same manner in which it has been operating and expecting different results. The biggest problem that I had at tonight’s school board meeting is when Superintendent Chambers stated that the board and the budget was messed up before he came to Alief, insinuating that things have improved under his leadership. Then that means all those years of the district lying to the public about Alief and the school board before Chambers got here were just confirmed as lies. Furthermore the things which Superintendent Chambers stated were wrong about the districts school board and finances before he got here are still going on, because those same board members whom Chambers just threw under the proverbial bus have been with the district during his entire tenor until November 2017. Now the district has 3 new board members but there are still two old board members whom were part of the shim sham that Superintendent Chambers just spoke of, and those two board members are the current president and vice president. In the real world we call that, “you just told on yourself.” It is not a secret why the previous accountant whom sat on the school board, Nghi T.
