Those of you in education, specifically in Alief ISD, that did not attend this months board meeting. It might behoove you to know that Alief ISD is in a 3 million dollar deficient. Despite the fact that 48% of the districts OVERALL educational budget goes to paying administrators salaries, the remaining 52% is split between facilities management, education necessities, and teachers salaries, I’m am certain that NO ADMINISTRATORS will lose their jobs. The workhorses that are in the classrooms and whom have a direct impact on the lives of our children will get the ax, by administrators seeking to save their salaries and positions. My at-large community members and district employees have to start coming to monthly school board meetings. The district is making major decisions each month that directly affects you presently, as well as in the future. Your absence from these meetings are giving your consent to be steamrolled as a parent, taxpayer, district employee, and community member. There were literally only four people in the audience at this past board meeting which district staffing changes were eluded to by administration, it was myself, my 17 year old son, my 10 year old daughter, and a gentleman by the name of Anton. Less teachers, plus larger class sizes, equals happy administrators. You do the math. #BasicArithmetic #TrustButVerify #AliefProud #AliefTaxPayer #AliefParent
