Awesome news was announced on Friday the 25th February 2022.
The first Edmondson Park Station Multi Level Carpark is finally officially opened four years since the Community campaign for #MoreParkingNow started in March 2018.
WHAT A JOURNEY IT HAS BEEN TO GET TO THIS POINT so I will do a quick recap of the Timeline of Events for Edmondson Park Station
March 2018 – Campaign begins with the online Petition
February 2019 – former Premier Gladys Berejiklian has announced $40 million will be invested to deliver up to 700 additional commuter car spaces at the station by mid-2020.
Mid 2019 – NSW State Budget only has $200,000 allocated for consultancy fees the Petitions recommence
December 2019 – The NSW State Government has bowed to community pressure and will provide an extra 2000 parking spots at Edmondson Park train station - 1300 more than the 700 promised earlier this year.
August 2020 - The Southern car park at Edmondson Park Station will have its entry closed from 3pm on Friday, August 28 with construction set to begin on the new multi-storey car park from September 2020
February 2022 – Stage One of the Edmondson Park Station Multi Level Carpark is finally Opened.

Transport Minister David Elliott cut the ribbon on the new 1250-space car park on Friday.
"Our government recognises that this is Sydney's fastest growing region, and we're delivering projects which will serve the community for years to come," Mr Elliott said.
"We have a world class public transport network, and significant investments like the ones we've made into commuter car parks makes catching public transport more convenient and attractive to the community."
