Good Morning Fellow Residents, Commuters and Petition Supporters

Three years on from the beginning of our Community Campaign for a Multi Level car park at Edmondson Park and Leppington Stations progress is happening and the Multi Level carparks are taking shape..

I am pleased to report that work is progressing well at both stations. In late December 2020 I organised a couple of videos to be taken at the Stations including drone footage of work completed at that time.

Edmondson Park Station Update

In February, concrete pours for the level one suspended slab commenced with structural walls and stairwell construction underway. Civil work on level one is now complete and scaffold installation for level two has commenced around the perimeter of the building.

During March, the following work will occur on the new multi-storey car park:

• Continuation of concrete pours for the suspended concrete slabs for levels two and three

• Construction of load bearing walls and columns

• Construction of stair and lift cores through the building

• Installation of perimeter scaffold on levels two and three

• Plumbing and electrical work

Leppington Station Update

 In February, level one pours were completed and level two and three pours commenced. Additional scaffolding and formwork were installed in preparation for pouring the third level of the suspended slabs.

During March, the following work will occur on the new multi-storey car park:

• The second and third level of the car park will be completed, including the suspended slabs, columns and walls

• Construction will commence on the level four structure

• You may notice more construction vehicles on site due to larger concrete pours. Pedestrian and car access to the existing commuter car parks and station will not be affected as construction vehicles will use the dedicated construction access driveway.

Finally now that Covid restrictions have eased I will get back to the Paper petition to Extend the South West Rail Link from Leppington Station to the new Western Sydney Airport. Residents of South western Sydney should also have rail access provided to the new airport when it opens not some 30 years later as is currently planned.
