Good afternoon Fellow Residents, Commuters and Petition Supporters
NORTH WEST METRO LINE ANNOUNCEMENT
The New South Wales government has announced where it will build six new metro train stations which will connect Western Sydney Airport to the city.
The new stations will be located at St Marys, Orchard Hills, Luddenham, the Airport Business Park, Western Sydney Aerotropolis near Badgerys Creek Rd at Bringelly and at the new airport’s terminal.
Mr Constance said: “The new railway will link residential areas with jobs hubs, and connect travellers from the new airport with the rest of Sydney’s public transport network”.
The NSW government also confirmed the new rail link would provide infrastructure for further expansion in the future, particularly into Leppington and the south west region.
Mr Constance said 20 property owners would be impacted by the construction but there would be consultation with them.

Why are residents of South Western Sydney being denied rail access to the new Airport?
Mr Constance said: The NSW government also confirmed the new rail link would provide infrastructure for further expansion in the future, particularly into Leppington and the south west region. (In the Transport 2056 plans)
The link from St Mary's to the Airport doesn't provide access for the residents of South Western Sydney.
The extension of the South West rail link from Leppington Station to Western Sydney Airport is still years if not decades away.

Finally, Where has Labor Party Been?
“It’s true South Western Sydney region gets overlooked; the exclusion of heavy rail to the new airport is evidence of that,’’ says Mr Warren.
Plans for heavy rail from the airport south to the Macarthur region or the South West Rail link have been consigned to the investigation stage and may not become reality for 20 years or more.
Mr Warren says the South Western region is the fastest growing area in Sydney and deserves better.
