Today I cover the new announcement regarding the Railway Corridors proposed by the NSW State Government but which have no timelines associated with them.
Future transport links confirmed in the Western Parkland City
The NSW Government has confirmed the final corridors which will support the delivery of the proposed Sydney Metro – Western Sydney Airport project, South West Rail Link Extension and Western Sydney Freight Line.
Preserving vital corridors for three new transport links will pave the way for a significant boost to connectivity in the region, helping bring growth and jobs to Western Sydney.

However reserving the Railway Corridors is one thing but actually providing the actual railway lines is something else. And since "No timeline has been provided for completion of the project." It important that we maintain pressure on the State Government.

Western Sydney’s future transport needs are being planned by preserving an additional public transport corridor in Sydney’s South West to help people to access jobs and services in the future. The extension corridor is proposed to connect Leppington Station to Bringelly and then head in two directions: north to the T1 Western Line near St Marys; and south to Narellan. Extension of the corridor further south to the existing T2 South Line is also being considered. A number of core stations are proposed in the existing and planned centres of Rossmore, Bringelly, North Bringelly, Oran Park and Narellan. A station is also proposed at Badgerys Creek to serve the Western Sydney Airport. The corridor allows for additional stations if required. The transport corridor for the South West Rail Link extension would ensure a dedicated corridor is available to deliver public transport infrastructure for Greater Western Sydney when it is needed; create north-south transport connection, helping people to access jobs and services and contribute to the growth of liveable communities in the area; provide access to the Western Sydney airport at Badgerys Creek in the longer term, as demand increases; ensure new town centres are designed and planned around public transport; provide greater certainty to stakeholders, local government, businesses, and the wider community; and reduce the cost of delivering transport infrastructure in the future.

North South Rail Line and South West Rail Link Extension

The NSW Government is planning for the long term transport needs of Western Sydney by identifying and protecting corridors of land for future passenger rail lines.
The South West Rail Link Extension corridor will extend from Leppington Station to North Bringelly for connections with the North South Rail Line corridor.
