Good Evening Fellow Residents, Commuters and Petition Supporters
It's been great to see many of you at Leppington Station this week and THANK YOU for stopping to sign the latest Hardcopy Petition.
Remember ANYONE who lives in NSW and can vote is able to sign the petition. (They don't need to live in this area or catch a train).
In the almost two years that I have been campaigning for #MoreParkingNow I have never seen so many cars parked on Byron Rd going from Rickard Rd right past the bend and around or on Rickard Rd from Bringelly Rd right past Leppington Primary School.
The way things are going by the time the NSW State Government delivers it's promised 1000 Extra Car parking spaces at Leppington Station it still won't be enough.
It seems like we are just going around in Circles. The Band Aid solutions are just not working.
This latest Petition is to Extend the South West Rail Link from Leppington Station to Badgerys Creek Airport.
We need to obtain 10,000 signatures to start a debate in Parliament and I am looking for Volunteers to help out with this task.
Most Commuters at Leppington Station have been supportive of the Petition with over 700 signatures collected in just four days BUT we are a long way short of the 10,000 required to trigger a debate in Parliament.
BUT THINK ABOUT THIS........
If everyone who signed the Petition took one petition sheet and got another 10 signatures that would increase the signatures very quickly.
These are the numbers
700 + (700×10) = 700 +7000 = 7700
