Good Afternoon Fellow Residents, commuters and petition supporters
A Heads Up to the Leppington Station Commuters. The limited parking will be even more Limited next week on Tuesday and Wednesday the 3rd and 4th of December 2019.
This week on Wednesday and Thursday the 27th and 28th November 2019 40 spaces were closed at Edmondson Park for investigations.
Still this is a good sign that something is being done since there was $500,000 allocated for Consulting Fees in the June 2018 Budget and $212,000 in the June 2019 Budget out of the $49 million im Election Promises by the Liberal State Government.

Its only taken over 3 years of lobbying and 20 months of online campaigning to get the Consultants out to do some Investigations.
How long will it take to prepare the plans is the next question.
And then lets not even consider the construction time. Could it be that the Multi Level Car Parks might be ready for the 2023 Elections OR am I being too cynical?

This is an article from SOUTH WEST VOICE ARTICLE
Here is Longer Term Solution to the Car Parking Crisis in South Western Sydney.
“Providing additional car parking at Edmondson Park and Leppington stations is a band aid solution."
“The answer to this growing problem is an integrated transport solution which incorporates more parking space, a better bus service and a train service."
“But more than just that, the South West Rail Line needs to be extended to the airport now, not 2056 as proposed by the NSW State Liberal Government, which supports a Metro line extension from St Mary’s to the Airport said Mr Andjelkovic.

THE 100X 100 PETITION CAMPAIGN
Your Help is Needed to make this Happen.
100 Volunteers for 100 signatures each.
A paper petition will be starting to call for the extension of the South West rail link from Leppington Station to Airport with at least 3 stations and a minimum of 1500 car spaces per station to be built before 2026.
“So be prepared, there will be a lot more signing over the next few months to do to get a paper petition to Parliament in 2020 with 10,000 signatures so that this matter must be debated in Parliament,’’
Please email me if you would like to Help to 100 x 100 Petition Campaign.
