Good Morning Fellow Residents, Commuters and Petition Supporters
As you are probably aware that with the NSW State Election coming up on Saturday the 23rd March I have transitioned from Independent Community Campaigner to Independent Candidate for Liverpool.
WHAT DO YOU THINK?
My New Look Facebook Profile is up and running with the Gold and Purple Colours at www.facebook.com/Michael.Independent - It will be refined again once my new Gold Polo Shirts with Purple print are ready and that should bring the balance back as I think it's a bit too purple at the moment.
CAN YOU HELP ON POLLING DAY?
I am seeking Volunteers to help me to Hand Out How To Vote Flyers on Polling Day at Selected Voting Booths around the Liverpool Electorate.
If you can spare a few hours of your time please either message me via my facebook page OR email me Michael.Independent1@gmail.com
I apologise for the Short notice its been a bit hectic getting everything organised especially on a Shoestring Budget unlike the major Political Parties I am funding this campaign completely on my own.
HOLSWORTHY STATION OPAL CARD ENTRY
Are you AFFECTED by this Proposal??
If you are and want Email the Minister for Transport Andrew Constance directly at Office@Constance.minister.nsw.gov.au
I posted about this issue on my facebook page and received some pretty interesting comments https://www.facebook.com/726441754160906/posts/1374498789355196/
Phillip Tovey a local Prestons resident sent a pretty scathing email to the Minister and the Liberal Member for Holsworthy on Friday 08/03/19
THIS IS part of Philiip's email
One of our local member Melanie Gibbons MP, has asked for feedback on the state governments most recent announcement with respect to Holsworthy Station. Whilst Holsworthy is not in direct impact to us, the entire electorate has been affected by the inaction of our member and a flow on affect to Edmondson Park
She won't be looking at any feedback via Facebook and social media.
She has requested emails be sent to her directly at the following addresses:
Holsworthy@parliament.nsw.gov.au
I have sent mine to her and supplied a copy below.
Please find attached a copy of the email sent to the member.

To Mel Gibbons
NSW State Parliament - Member for Holsworthy
CC Andrew Constance - Minister for Transport
I hope this email finds you well, as previous emails have gone unacknowledged.
Holsworthy Station - Park and Pay
In my opinion and many others, this is a stupid, redundant piece of infrastructure to build at Holsworthy. If your parking at Holsworthy you are catching the train. I can see how it could be handy in other stations with a retail presence.
Any people using the station for long term car parking would be very limited. Your kidding yourself if you think this will help one little bit overall.
It is clear that your Cabinet overlords are looking to try and gain some sympathy for you, as the electorate is pissed off, and your seat will swing away from the government.
Your major issue here with that approach is that everyone sees it for what it is...smoke and mirrors.
[Yelling] "We're doing something about parking for you.....[Whispering] but we're not really doing anything"
Minister for Transport and Infrastructure @AndrewConstance said the program was needed because research showed almost half of people who use commuter car parks at train stations and bus terminals do not catch public transport.
Has this bloke ever been to Holsworthy?
For you to support this I think you must not have been there either, or be really, really sucking up for a promotion should you get re-elected. Let me know which it is?
I suggest that you and Mr Constance show us your research on Holsworthy and the stats that show half of the commuters are not getting on trains.
Effects if implemented
This will only add to congestion on Heathcote road in the morning with people queuing up, and also creating further gridlock on exit.
The only good thing that could come out of this implementation is that you may stimulate the economy by enabling the setup of a number of coffee stands along Heathcote road cause there will be queues as far as the eye can see as people swipe in.
Could be good for a famous Mel Gibbons photo opportunity?
FACTORS TO CONSIDER
The biggest impact on Holsworthy is the lack of parking at other stations further out. Ie. Edmondson Park. I personally know 8 people who regularly drive to Holsworthy. If I know 8 there are lots more doing the same thing.
The biggest issue for Edmondson Park is that neither the Government or the alternative government has not really looked at the true need for spots.
They have both said they will put a multi level car park, but given the land owned by the state, will need to take 200 out to put 700. That means there is a net gain of 500, but there is at least half that on the road or parked illegally already, and if you start looking at people coming into the area and then those who will come back to the station from Holsworthy and Glenfield the car park that won't start for at least 6 months and probably 18 to 24 months will be out of date already.
I know you have said that there has been some magic that proves that my maths above is not right with respect to parking. So I urge you please put this out there for us all to see. Something that shoes your 6 months of planning time was used well and not just an off the cuff promise with the usual puffing out of the chest at election time.
PLEASE KEEP SHARING THE #MoreParkingNow VIDEO
It would be great if you are able to share the YouTube video clip using the link below https://youtu.be/gI0UvTfP8fQ
OR you can share the video from my Facebook Page

This is the message that we would like to send to both the Premier and Opposition Leader.
REMEMBER IF you don't use your voices in the lead up to the Election it's another 4 year's to the next state election.
The only other option left is to send a message on Election Day via the Ballot Box, more information on that next week.
So I encourage you to share the videos and send some emails to the Political Leaders.
Yours Sincerely
Michael Andjelkovic JP
