A total of 2,769 Signatures were obtained from Local Commuters, Local Residents and Leppington School Families in less than three weeks and the Petitions wouldn't exist without YOUR support.
The Paper Petitions were Delivered to the Various MP's Offices on Friday (09/11/18) and Monday (12/11/18) to be Lodged with the Clerk at Parliament House by Mr Patterson Today (Tuesday the 13th November 2018) on behalf of the Community.
Petitions are one of the most traditional Parliamentary processes, being a means by which individuals can directly place requests of grievances before the Parliament. Each sitting day in the House, the Clerk reports the receipt of petitions from Members.
Read about rules of Petitions Here https://www.parliament.nsw.gov.au/la/petitions/Pages/About-petitions.aspx
WHAT HAPPENS NEXT ?
After the Petition is Lodged in Parliament then Ministers are required to lodge, with the Clerk, a response to a petition signed by 500 or more persons. The response must be received within 35 calendar days from the date a petition is received.
IF the Petition is Lodged today in Parliament the 13th November 2018 a reply from the Minister is to be expected by the 18th December 2018.
For now all we can do is wait until a reply is received from the Minister
Lets hope that a positive answer is received from the Minister in relation to these Petitions before Christmas and that Both Major Parties will commit to Building Multi Level Car Parks at Edmondson Park and Leppington Stations as has been the objective of the Online Petition from the very beginning in March 2018 and as Stated in the 26th March 2018 Update
THE OVERALL OBJECTIVE
The ultimate objective is to get Multi Level Carparks Built at Leppington And Edmondson Park Stations and I believe that the easiest way to do this is to obtain a written Commitment from BOTH the current Minister for Transport and Infrastructure Mr ANDREW CONSTANCE and ALSO the Shadow Minister for Transport Ms JODI McKAY.
I will keep you informed of any Updates regarding the Petitions as they occur and You can also see daily updates on my Facebook page.

In the meantime please keep writing letters to the editors, Contact the local Journalists with your stories and share posts using the hashtag #MoreParkingNow.
There are a couple more actions that we can take but I will keep them on hold if they are required in the New Year.
Yours Sincerely
