Good Afternoon Fellow Residents, Commuters and Supporters

PROPOSED RALLY AT EDMONDSON PARK STATION

Stay Tuned I have just applied for Police Approval to hold a Rally in November - More information to Come

HARD COPY PAPER PETITION

With Parliament about the break for Christmas and the election on the 22nd November we ONLY have 3 weeks  to get a MINIMUM 500 Signatures on a Paper Petition and to submit it by the 19th November 2018.

As there is a bit of information to read in this Update I will post this separately tomorrow if that OK - I am only allowed one post per 24 Hours.

OTHER EMAIL TO THE MINISTER - Proposed solution ED Park

I have come up with another idea to fix the Parking Problems at Ed Park. It involves selling the Southern Carpark (Campbelltown side) buying land from Landcom to the east of the Station and doing a Multilevel Carpark half underground on the Northern Carpark. I am sure IF I could get half a day with Strategic Planners from Transport for NSW, landcom and Liverpool and Campbelltown Councils I could sort this out instead of wasting half a million dollars on Consultants.

ANSWER  RECEIVED FROM PARLIMENTARY QUESTIONS

On the 18th September 2018 Paul Lynch MP lodged a number of questions for us in Parliament this is a summary.

1) The Online Petition Signatures have NOT been Checked.

2) Registration Plate information of people parked at Edmondson Park and Leppington Stations has been analysed.

3) A scope of works has been issued and a timetable set - however we don't know what the timetable is.

4) The Community will be kept informed as more information comes to hand (Don't call us we will call you attitude).

LETTERS TO THE EDITOR WORK and draw attention to our Cause

Well done to MANISH BALIYAN who had this letter to the Editor Published in the Liverpool Champion

STATION PARKING NEEDS ATTENTION

Insufficient commuter parking at the train stations at Glenfield and Edmondson Park is the one of the problems commuters of this area have to painfully deal with every working day of the year.

I’ve raised this problem with Anoulack Chanthivong, the Member for Macquarie Fields, a few times via emails and in person during his visits to the area and he’s been quite helpful.

However there’s been no outcome or no proper response from the NSW Liberal Government to date.

The Minister for Transport and Infrastructure continues to ignore the car-parking crisis petition which was started on change.org and which is calling for multi-level car parks to be built in the area. So far, it’s got more than 6700 signatures.

One would wonder why the State Government would plan to allow thousands of new houses and thousands of new families to settle in this area and not consider the basic infrastructure these residents would require to live a life.

It appears the state Liberal government is interested in collecting taking taxpayers’ money but building little infrastructure in the area with it.

WILL YOU WRITE A LETTER TO THE EDITOR OF YOUR LOCAL PAPER ALSO ?

MY QUESTIONS TO THE MINISTER IGNORED

I am still awaiting a reply to my last questions to the minister regarding the proposed temporary parking at Leppington Station

1) How Long before the DA is approved?
2) How long before work commences?
3) Will the temporary Car Park be constructed at the beginning of the Project or at the End?
4) Any time estimates on Completion?

I Remember in the last letter we were told that this was a complex matter and we will be kept informed as more information comes to hand - So as not to offend Ms Gibbons again I won't call this a government funded smokescreen INSTEAD I will label it a Government funded Stalling tactic.

I look forward to your upcoming Support with the paper Petition and the Proposed Public Rally - I will invite a few Politicians lets see if they attend.

You can follow me on facebook at www.facebook.com/Michael.Independent for daily udates and information to share regarding the Car Parking Petition and other local issues.
