School Board approves framework for Pre-Labor Day Start

School Board meeting on Monday the 22nd results in the following statement: In the end, the Board approved the framework, including a pre-Labor Day start in fall 2015, per the administration’s recommendation. Superintendent Ric Dressen noted that administration was only recommending a one-year calendar at this time given the many variables playing out over the next year with the district’s Next Generation Strategic Plan. The next step in fighting the Pre-Labor Day start date is to show up at the school board meetings and be heard. December 15th will be the date when the school board votes on the calendar to be set.
