Here’s why we’re closing the petition and what’s next: Our initial goal was to raise awareness and demonstrate community opposition to Campbell Ranch. While we are not happy with the recent 3-2 Approval, from an awareness and engagement perspective this has absolutely been Mission Accomplished! However, this fight is far from over. With the planning and zoning commission having voted for approval, we must transition to a unified, strategic legal battle. Continued public engagement is vital, but a focused, legally-driven approach - led by experienced advocates - is essential for success in the upcoming appeal process. That’s why we are officially joining forces with EMPAC to fight not only this development, but future concerns of similar nature. You should see an update directly from EMPAC in the coming hours reiterating this, with information on how you can continue contributing to this important matter.

As a sign of solidarity and commitment to the resounding community voice, Forever WILD, via Double Dog Ranch and Rising Roots Farm, are collectively matching existing donations to this Change.org petition as a direct contribution to EMPAC’s legal fund for Campbell Ranch actions. We recognize the limitations of traditional petitions and are exploring improved, real-time options to gather petition/action signatures, support donations to specific causes, and foster transparent discussion.
