The Dominican Republic has repeatedly treated the Haitian population in an inhumane way, while the US does nothing.  Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.  Silence is complicity. The Haitian people have human rights like anyone else in the world and should not be treated in an inhuman manner. 

If nothing is done, the situation in Hispaniola will deteriorate to a war among the nations, which will result in the anhilation of the Haitian people.  The Dominican Republic clearly wants to exterminate Haitians and have done everything in their power to do so, short of starting a war. 

This petition is for the US to sanction the Dominican Republic for the inhumane treatment of the Haitian people.  The Haitians have contributed and continue to contribute to the american culture.
