We the undersigned are opposed to retaining Steve Shiffert as the head football coach of the Easton Area High School "Red Rovers."

     Throughout the course of the past twenty plus years as the head football coach he has been deficient as a liaison in relating the football programs goals and visions for success to the general public and local media outlets in a positive manner.  Coach Shiffert has also not developed and administered a continuous off-season conditioning program that evaluates assistant coaches and playing personnel and aids in securing scholarship assistance for players and their families. He has also lacked the ingenuity to properly prepare and develop game plans that put our student athletes in the best possible position to be successful on the field of play.

     Inclosing student athletes who play for the Red Rovers would best be served by the hiring of a coach to provide knowledge, motivation and leadership in the sport in which the student athlete can  excel to his full potential while competing in an atmosphere that adds to his total education including their physical well being, moral character, and social and mental development.  This can only be achieved by the hiring of a coach from outside of the football program.  The time has come to give our student athletes and those in our feeder programs the opportunity at achieving the ultimate goal as a football program.  A PIAA STATE FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP.
