This is my time to say, thank you ever so much for all the support and kind words and mostly importantly the signatures supporting this petition, in recent events having spoken to the chairman David Kemp, of the Ellie Mai charity the parents have now confirmed through David that the Tearoom will NOT be going ahead within Cottingham Cemetery, this if of course reassuring news to all the people who have supported and signed this petition. The petition was created on the basis of an article published in June 2017 by the Hull Daily Mail stating with quotation from both parents, their plans to renovate, tidy up and open a tearoom here within Cottingham Cemetery, it was explained in detail with many inputs from the parents. Furthermore, from the conversation I have had with David it seems as though the article was not published to how the parents wanted this to be perceived, even though the article highlights specific comments made by the parents themselves and their plans; however I will be keeping an eye out for any future plans being made to be reassured that this is not going ahead within our cemmetery.
