Huntly Park - Not Saved Until It Is Saved

Dear Friend of Huntly Park,

You may recall that a few weeks after our petition to save Huntly Park was launched, East Renfrewshire Council voted to protect all of the park.  That was in April.  Notably that was done just before the Scottish Parliamentary election.  Bizarrely, it happened after protests that there was no threat to the park.  That's fine; we got what we were campaigning for.  Almost.

I thought it was time to enquire if the protection had been applied for.  I have been informed that it has not happened.  While I am told that liaison has occurred, I would have expected more progress by now.  This petition will carry on until the future of the park is secure.  There will be no letting up.
