Dear fellow friend of Huntly Park,
When we agree and act as one, we are stronger as a community. We can defend and promote our shared interests. We need more of this.
1. We need vision (how we want Giffnock and Thornliebank to be).
2. We need to build inclusivity and consensus (done through civil discourse - not negative backbiting that has sadly put good, talented people off from engaging in local matters).
3. We need action (talking is great, but action must follow).
We are seeking action by East Renfrewshire Council. I have great respect for so many who work for it and for members who serve on it. They know me. They know that when I am direct, I am not being rude. I am all about getting things done; not admiring problems. I am looking forward to doing that with the council; not by working against it.
Through our petition, we are calling on East Renfrewshire Council to secure our park's future for all time coming. The more we get to sign it, the stronger our mandate; please share it.
