We are writing to update you on the recent incident at 122nd between Shaver and Prescott. A pedestrian was struck by a car this morning, right before school. Unfortunately, we still do not have any information on whether the pedestrian was severely injured or if it's a fatality, as the police have not provided any updates.

This incident is a stark reminder of the dangers that already exist on 122nd, before taking into account increased traffic from box trucks and semis trying to access the proposed distribution center. As a community, we must come together to demand safer streets for all. It is unacceptable for our neighborhood roads to be so dangerous, yet the city plans to make it even more so by approving this proposed redevelopment. 

We ask that you keep the pedestrian and the driver involved in this incident in your thoughts. Our hearts go out to them and their families during this difficult time.
