The council are beginning to listen to the concerns of parents and families in East Dunbartonshire. They have started to suggest that the distance from the catchment school criteria is unfair and discriminatory and are considering alternatives.
The consultation deadline has been extended to the 10th January 2020 and two further public meetings have been arranged for Tuesday 3 December at 6.30 in St Ninian’s High School, Kirkintilloch and Thursday 5 December at 6.30 in Bearsden Academy.
However, we can't stop now. It's so important that we continue to put pressure on the council to drop these unfair and discriminatory proposals. Please attend the public meetings and voice your concerns and, most importantly, fill in the council's consultation online and reject the proposals as they currently stand.
