"I did not realize that people think EBTC has an internet monopoly and that they have no other choice. We want to assure people that EBTC DOES NOT have a monopoly on internet service. Anyone can provide internet service in Buchanan County. That includes AT&T, Verizon, US Cellular, Hughes Net, Wind Stream , Century Link, etc.. We would like to suggest that we are the least expensive and provide the best service- But EBTC does not have a monopoly. Verizon has a store front in Independence and there is a US Cellular dealer in Oelwein not to mention the kiosk(s) in various WalMart locations.
