Many roadside trees in many parts of the Philippines are currently threatened because of current laws enacted for road widening and road clearing. I understand that, in order to have economic progress, roads need to be widened to lessen traffic issues that will result to delays in work-related tasks.

However, I am knocking on your kind hearts to help me sign this petition in hopes that they the government will see and realize that, sometimes, saving the Earth's trees will deem more meritorious than saving the economy. I believe that if they see how many people care for these trees, they will change their minds and look for alternatives on how to have their road widening without cutting down the trees. 

I am not from Molave. I am a pure Kagay-anon who just came to love the beauty and freshness of Zamboanga. I'm sure that if you were also given a chance to go through this road, you will know why I love it so.

Going home to Zamboanga Del Norte - my second home, I always loved passing through Molave, Zamboanga del Sur and see the trees enveloping the roads in its loving embrace. The cool shade and fresh air that it offers will let you know that you're definitely away from the hustle and bustle of city life.

Trees in Molave took years and years to grow and be the way it is now. I cannot imagine passing through the same road without seeing the beauty of these trees.

So, please, help me sign this petition. I will be forever thankful. And I know, the people in Molave will be, too.
