Electronic Arts continues to demonstrate avarice and contempt for the Apex community by showing how little it really cares about ALGS. EA chose to support the top tier teams' costs for ALGS LAN this summer yet shirks those smaller teams who genuinely need the support. How can we believe in the story that Apex and ALGS is meant to be a chance at success for everyone when some teams can't even make it without donations/crowdfunding? How can the company truly go on to say that the Apex community is what makes it great while shirking the long-standing tradition of tournament organizers assisting with the costs of travel, room, and board? The community has begun to come together to support these smaller teams. The strength of the community is allowing for these less privileged teams to go but really it should be EA pulling the weight here. Sign this petition if you believe that EA should be the one to pay for these teams' travel, lodging, and other expenses for ALGS LAN in Stockholm, Sweden this coming summer.
