Duolingo is the biggest free language learning platform and mobile app available in the world, people across the world can learn a range of languages, from Russian to Arabic, even including Klingon(a fictional language). 

The unfortunate part is that one of the most ancient languages in the world and a language that is currently being spoken by 6.7 million people around the world, is not in there. We're talking about Armenian. 

The Armenian language has been spoken for thousands of years and even the first printed word was in Armenian - a Bible sample - which indicates the rich history of the language.

Why is it important: Armenian is not a hard language to learn but it's not easy either, and nowadays it's not easy to get your hands on learning material about the language(most people get books shipped from Armenia, and even then they need a teacher). This is why we need to modernize the process of learning and give access to anyone living anywhere, just like Duolingo has done for other languages, now it's time to do the same for Armenian. 

Let's help the new learners to get access to one of the most culture-rich languages in the world and let's not allow our kids, grandchildren or family to forget about this beautiful language and keep the beautiful heritage it brings with it! Let's get Armenian in Duolingo!!
