Dunkin’s dairy supplier just filed for bankruptcy, further proving that animal products are a thing of the past. Join us in urging Dunkin’ to get with the times and offer a vegan donut with a quick email to its CFO!
Dunkin’ Brands CFO, Kate Jaspon, was recently interviewed about Dean Foods (Dunkin’ and Baskin-Robbins’ dairy supplier) filing for bankruptcy. “Never a dull day!” Jaspon responded to reporters. Dean Foods is the largest dairy company in the United States but sales have been dwindling--largely because more people than ever are switching to animal-free alternatives!
Dunkin’ dipped its toes in the plant-based arena by rolling out almond milk for dairy-free coffee in 2014 and just dished out its Beyond Sausage Breakfast Sandwich nationwide ahead of schedule thanks to overwhelming popularity! However, all of its donuts still contain milk or eggs.
As 2019 was accurately named the “Year of the Vegan” by The Economist, it only makes sense for the year to wind down with the country’s largest dairy producer filing for bankruptcy! Many more news sources are stating confidently that plant-based eating is here to stay. So, join us in urging Dunkin’ to keep up with a vegan donut by sending a quick and polite email to CFO Kate Jaspon!
