The petition for more matinees from our main Dublin theatres is doing ok, not quite 100 signatures yet but I am sure it has legs. What is really important is that those signing it have left comments, these anecdotal real people comments are great to quote to authorities, so if you have not made a comment revisit the petition and share your thoughts. If all those that have signed it could share it a few more times across various platforms and get your family and friends to sign it, this would be helpful. This petition at best will get a few hundred signatures but at least it will put the idea on the agenda of these theatre, there is definitely a market for mid-week matinees we just need to make the theatres wake up to the different world we live in.
