We have received nearly 300 signatures in the first 3 days of this petition! WOW! We cannot possibly thank all of you enough for the amazing outpouring of support we've received this week. It is both humbling and exciting to receive such blessing at this time in our lives. We also have amazing news!

The State of Alaska will NOT be Appealing to the Alaska Supreme Court!

If the State had attempted to appeal the court's ruling, it would have added months and possibly even years onto our fight for justice. The official confirmation this morning that they will not be doing so allows our family to breathe a deep sigh of relief, but the battle is far from over. 

Your signatures on this petition are key to the next step of our process. 

Now that we can confirm that the case is moving back down to the Superior Court level, the decision to retry the case - with a new criminal trial essentially starting from scratch - is left in the hands of the State once again. This petition is asking them not to. It will allow us to present to the State that we have the support of our local and national community in asking them to drop all charges and leave our family in peace.
