Stop the closure of Llandrindod Wells Driving Test Centre

The Issue

Plans are afoot to close Llandrindod Wells test centre on the 30th of June

We as a community can not allow this to happen

Mid Wales Driving Instructor Association need your help to sign this petition to help us help you keep this test centre open.

Closing Llandrindod Wells driving test centre will have a massive effect on the local community !

Having to travel to Brecon or Newtown test centre, which are 29 and 28 miles respectively from Llandrindod Wells will mean longer driving lessons for students and instructors, which isnt beneficial for many families or their instructors.

7 driving instructors, driving to Brecon or Newtown  5 days a week several times a day will have a massive impact on the environment where as 1 examiner coming once a day and spending all day in Llandrindod Wells would have less impact,(and makes more sense) and it would also mean more traffic on the already busy roads leading to and from Brecon and Newtown.

Driving test waiting times in Brecon and Newtown would increase to accommodate the extra driving tests needed at these test centres.

With the pandemic we are experiencing at the moment there are already going to be delays in test times, do we really need to have to wait longer because of a test centre closure ?

We need Llandrindod test  centre open, this can not be allowed to happen.

Mid Wales Driving Association have already fought once to stop this closure now we are asking for your help.

Please add your support by signing this petition.

Or you could write to your local MP Fay Jones

Thank You.
