The Issue

Growing up in Arizona, I’ve always appreciated our stunning desert landscapes and the incredible outdoor lifestyle that comes with them. But one thing is missing: more public disc golf courses that match the energy and potential of our city.

That’s why we're proposing a new 18-hole disc golf course at Dreamy Draw Park, right off Trail 100 — a perfect fit for a sport that combines fitness, fun, and friendly competition. Disc golf is one of the fastest-growing outdoor sports in the country, and Phoenix — with its world-class weather and tourism appeal — should be leading the way.

Right now, Phoenix has relatively few public courses for its size, leaving thousands of residents and visitors without enough places to play. Let’s fix that.

Why Dreamy Draw? It’s already a beautiful, recently renewed, and well-loved outdoor hub. There’s plenty of desert terrain suitable for a low-impact course. It’s centrally located and accessible to locals and tourists alike.

Why Disc Golf?
It’s affordable and inclusive — anyone can play with just a $10 disc.
It promotes healthy outdoor activity for all ages and abilities.
It requires very little water or maintenance — ideal for Arizona’s climate.
It creates a new source of tourism and economic boost through local events and tournaments.

Local businesses can sponsor baskets and tee pads — keeping it self-sustaining and community-driven.

We’re not asking the city to build a stadium — just to approve and support a fun, sustainable, and affordable public amenity that benefits the entire community.

Phoenix deserves a signature disc golf course. Let’s put Dreamy Draw on the map as the Southwest’s next disc golf destination.

Here’s how you can help:
1. Sign the petition

2.  Share with friends, disc golfers, hikers, and community groups

3.  Help show the City of Phoenix that the community is ready to play

Together, we can make this course a reality. Let’s grow the game and our community — right here in Phoenix.
