There has been many petitions of making sequel games into reality like: Raging Blast 3, Budokai 4, and either Budokai Tenkaichi 4 or Budokai Tenkaichi HD Collection, but there is one sequel game that I feel like should be in the conversation and that is Battle Of Z 2.

Battle of Z was released on January 23rd, 2014, and it was a retelling of Dragon Ball Z (plus the Cooler movies, Broly The Legendary Super Saiyan, and Wrath of The Dragon) all the way up to battle of gods movie, but this time around you’re in a team of 4, and you have a choice of which characters to choose from. At the start of the game, you are limited until you played the game further. There’s also color change to any character you want as well as cards equipment that allows to boost up anyone. Depending on how much you boost your characters and use them in battle, the game will give you certain amount of lives.

There are three options to play the game which are single player, co-op mode, and battle mode. In single player, you play the story mode by yourself while in co-op mode, you play the story mode with online players. And finally, battle mode, where you compete against other online players in four different battle modes. First, there is Normal battle, in which you and your team have to kill all of the opponents‘ lives. Next, there is score battle, you and your team has to have the highest score before the timer runs out. Then, there is Dragon Ball Grab, you and your team has to gather all of the Dragon Balls while the opponent team tries to fight for it. And lastly, Battle Royal, where you are on your own against seven opponents, and you have to have the most kills before the timer runs out. Out of the four battle modes, Battle Royal is the best.

The game as good as it is, but it can be better. Battle Mode is the best part of the game, but only accessible online and nowadays people are playing newer Dragon Ball Z games like FighterZ and Xenoverse 2, so maybe in Battle of Z 2, you can have Battle Mode to be played in both online and offline. The game is only limited to three options to play more, maybe adding more options to choose from. With Battle Mode, having good potential to be wasted, you add more modes to it like adding its own Tournament of Power where eight players fight for survival. The selection of characters is already impressive for a 2014 game, but you can add more characters from Super Anime, DBS Broly movie, and Super Heroes movie as well as more new stages. Maybe including DLC that has Goku wearing Naruto’s costume (which they included in Battle Of Z), more add-ons for battle mode Vegeta wearing Sasuke’s costume, more add-ons for story mode, and so much more. I hope that after reading this, that you’ll take Battle of Z 2 more seriously.
