Dear Neighbors and Community Members,

We, the undersigned residents of Egremont Road and the surrounding area, express our concerns about the proposed development listed above. Our neighborhood's quality of life depends on thoughtful planning and community input.

1.   Access Points:

o      We request that access to the new development primarily be from Lakeshore Road  rather than Egremont Road. This property is currently labelled a Lakeshore Rd. property with 2 existing access roads for farming equipment. Having access from Lakeshore Rd. would minimize traffic impact on existing streets and ensure safer access for all residents. It would also enhance safety for pedestrians and children using the walking path alongside Egremont Rd and  the crossing area from Lamrecton Park to the Beach Access.

2.    Green Space Buffering:

o      We advocate for a green space buffer between the new development and neighboring properties. Our proposal includes:

• Mature Trees:  Planting 15-20 feet tall mature trees along property lines, with smaller cedars or shrubs in between. This would provide visual screening, noise reduction, and enhance the natural country environment.

• Grassed Areas: Creating grassed areas along tree lines would aesthetically transition between properties while maintaining a country feel.

• Fences: To be built on interior side of mature trees and grassed buffer areas of perimeter properties.

Community Engagement:

• We've learned that the next meeting regarding re-zoning and the draft plan for subdivision won't be publicized, preventing community input.  However, petitions like this one will be read and discussed. We urge transparency and community involvement.  Meeting should be held End of June 2024.

Preserving Our Neighborhood:

• Our unique neighborhood character can coexist with responsible development. Let's work together to protect our community and ensure any changes align with our shared vision.
