University of Arizona College of Nursing is restructuring their billing, moving from Outreach College to either 'UA Online' or 'Main Campus'. The Outreach College is considered Main Campus and is billed as such. The Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program is moving to UA Online where there is no difference between in or out of state tuition. The PhD and dual degree (PhD & DNP) students are moving to Main Campus where there is still a difference between in and out of state tuition. This change increases tuition for in-state tuition DNP students by 64%. There is no grandfather clause for students already enrolled in the program, increasing first year DNPs tuition upon graduation by $20,000.

This placed a financial strain on every in-state student. FAFSA caps semester reimbursement at $10,250. Now for 12 credits the price is $11,700 leaving $1,450 to be made up elsewhere.

The University of Arizona College of Nursing made the decision to isolate the DNP students to UA Online and has the ability to move us to back Main Campus with the rest of our cohort. We deserve in-state tuition as residents of Arizona.
