We had filed RTI with State and Central governments and their archaeology departments regarding the status of various forts of Maharashtra. As some forts are under State Archaeology and some under Central Archaeology; while remaining come under the district collectorate, it is time consuming task. But, we are committed nonetheless to get all the possible information asap. Apparently, no concrete plan has been devised for conservation or for bringing the World Heritage Status by the State and Central Governments. There are plans for Raigad, but they seem vague. The State Archeology claims that a blueprint is in the making inline with the UNESCO standards or even better! Let us hope for the best.
