Ohio University is home to one of the biggest Halloween celebrations in the United States. They have historically charged a fee to residents in their dorms who want to have guests stay with them and celebrate the holiday and festival. This year they have doubled the amount to $50. Students already are forced to pay thousands of dollars to stay in the dorms, where other colleges allow them to choose if they want to stay in the dorms a second year. This is an unfair fee and not practical for college-aged students who already pay a ridiculous amount for an education. This fee is a financial burden to the students and their guests and should completely done away with. Students are not required to pay a fee any other time they want to have guests stay in their room. This is just another unfair fee that the University is squeezing out of their students.
