The leaders of Gators for a Sanctuary Campus have decided to shift focus to other policies to advance the rights and resources of undocumented immigrants at the University of Florida. Further exploring different avenues of change, the campaign concluded on other measures to better the experience and livelihood of undocumented students, including the expansion of UF Student Legal Services for DACA recipients and the training of faculty to properly address undocumented-specific concerns. Thus, Gators for a Sanctuary Campus will dissolve to appropriately pursue these goals. Now, we thank our countless supporters for their dedication to this shared and righteous cause. Without your sustained efforts, our campaign would have not gained statewide media coverage, meetings with university administrators and the 4,380 petition signatures which afforded such opportunities. Also, we thank Change.org for providing their resources and associates to aid in our campaign.
