Our presentation to the board was well received! Thank you to Gayle, Betty's daughter, and Rose, the heart of Metro, for being there and speaking to the board. Your presence and words made a huge impact.

As we were leaving, a member of the board came up to tell us that they are likely in full support of our proposal. We are sending them our proposal so that they can recommend the name change to the Special Administrative Board (SAB). This is great news! 

Our next step is to present to the SAB on January 17th at 6pm. The meeting format will be different and we will not have the opportunity to be put on the agenda at that meeting. We will have only 3 minutes per person to address the SAB during the public comment session, and they will not ask any questions or offer any response at that time. 

WE NEED YOU THERE! The more people we have, the more time we have to explain why the name Kennard needs to go, and why we should honor Betty Wheeler's legacy.
